Community Life Support has established a reputation for providing the highest standard of care in this region. This reputation comes from the pride and excellent work of the employees of the Community Medical Center, and Mercy Hospital ALS programs. Community Life Support was initiated by the desire of CMC and Mercy Hospitals to continue ALS/BLS programs based on a reputation for excellence in the standard of care provided to the community.
Currently Community Life Support employs over 100 Paramedics, EMTs and Office staff. Our 9 ambulances and 1 Quick Response Vehicle cover 911 calls in all of Lackawanna County as well as parts of Wyoming and Susquehanna Counties. We also provide emergent and non-emergent scheduled ambulance transportation for area hospitals, rehab hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities to other heathcare institutions and outpatient care centers in Northeastern Pennsylvania as well as outside the area.
