In a very special partnership with Community Medical Center, and their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Community Life Support is able to provide a very special service to sick newborns. In 2004, Community Life Support purchased a specialty ambulance dedicated to the the care of such newborns. The state of the art ambulance is equipped with everything necessary for the transport and critical care of its infant patients. In cooperation with CMC, this ambulance is available 24 hours a day for the transfer of neonatal patients into CMC's level 3 N.I.C.U. Staffed with an neonatologist and support team of nurses and respiratory technicians, the ambulance allows Community Life Support to aid CMC's N.I.C.U. in achieving its 99.4% infant survival rate.
